Oracle 10G RAC on Mac
Written on 4/17/2005
I got the chance to see Kent Stroker and Dan Morgan present their RAC on Mac cluster at a meeting a couple of weeks ago. Amazing stuff. Kent and Dan were extremely excited about the performance numbers and the price/performance of 10G on OSX. I’m just getting into Oracle on OSX myself, and hopefully I’ll have some lab time in the next few weeks to being playing with it. My initial install of 10G on OS X went well. It’s a much more technical install than the typical Mac Admin would expect, but the Oracle guys tell me it’s a very typical Oracle install.
If you want to try it out yourself, you can get an eval copy here.
